Hideaway Beach Club is a private gated community on the Gulf of Mexico. Half of our 300 acres are wetlands and conservancy. We are proud to be home to the world’s largest concentration of native Florida Live Oak trees. Condominiums, beach villas, and single-family homes make up our 623 memberships in our bundled community.

Position Title: Merchandise Manager
Department: Beachside Outfitters
Employment Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

PAY: Commensurate with experience

I. Essential Functions

The Merchandising Manager supports everyone associated with the retail operation. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to world class member and guest service. This position is tasked with providing a high level of member service regarding; counter assistance, tee times, check in and billing procedures, event registration, general club and operational information, answering telephones, opening/closing procedures, and general cleanliness of the retail space in the purchasing, display, inventory and sale of merchandise in the Pro Shop/Beachside Outfitters.

II. Job Tasks (Duties)
1. Merchandise Selection:

• Partner with management to select appropriate merchandise, ensuring it aligns with member preferences and sales goals.

2. Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage stock levels, including ordering new products and maintaining accurate records.
• Build member data-base to track spending, sizes and preferences.

3. Visual Merchandising:

• Create visually appealing displays that attract member purchases.

4. Member Service:

• Provide excellent member service, addressing inquiries, offering assistance and ensuring member satisfaction.

5. Budgeting and Procurement:

• Track sales data, analyze trends and adjust merchandise strategies accordingly.

6. Marketing and Promotion:

• Plan and execute marketing initiatives to promote products and increase sales.

7. Performs other duties as directed by management

III. Qualifications:

• Merchandising Knowledge: Understands merchandising principles including product selection, pricing and display
• Retail Experience
• Jonas Software experience a plus
• Member focus: Ability to understand and meet member needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

IV. Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in a retail setting
• Purchasing
• Inventory

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand on their feet for extended periods of time, walk; kneel, stoop, crawl, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or carry items up to 30 pounds.
